The Power of A Secret – Kari Jobe

The power of a secret is often underestimated. When you hold on to something that is against the desire God has for your life, the secret becomes the master. It condemns you, guilts you, and requires you to do more destructive things to give it protection from being found out. The best thing we can do, when we have a secret that is destroying our life, is to expose the secret to the truth of confession and forgiveness by talking to someone who will help us move away from the secret’s power. Then we are free from it’s condemnation and slavery – we’re allowed to live the life God wants us to live.

If you’€™re struggling with this issue and need someone to talk to please click the ‘€œchat with a SoulMedic” button at the top of the page. By keeping your issue a secret you are giving it power to destroy your life while it spreads as a cancer into your thoughts, actions, and relationships. Isolation is the worst way to live a full life, because it convinces a person that no one needs to know, that no one really understands, and ultimately, that no one really cares. That’€™s not true! Life on life community is the best way for a person to flourish in their understanding of self, others and God. However, when we spend all our energies protecting our secret from the world this mindset can create an independence stronghold that feels true but is a lie really killing you from the inside out.

RemedyLIVE is committed to a conversation with you. As a faith based organization we believe the best way to carry out our mission is to serve all of His creation regardless of their gender, race, sexual orientation, religion or age. Jesus calls us to love Him and love others because God created everyone – even those who don’€™t believe He exists!

My Eating Disorder – Shelby Lynn

The idea of not wanting to eat so one can lose weight is often associated with anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. If you’ve flirted with skipping meals or vomiting the food you’€™ve eaten to control your weight then you need to share that struggle with someone who cares. The issue of control is the key here. The illusion is that you’€™re in control of your weight but in reality your broken self identity is in control of you and can cause deadly results. Your body needs food in order to be healthy and without it your organs and future ability to bear children and live normally could be taken away forever. The issue of an eating disorder is rooted in a deeper life issue, often times from a childhood trauma years before that created a stronghold of emotional secrecy. When one deals with the past, and forgives the person or people who’ve hurt them, they can begin to move away from using unhealthy control methods as a bandaid to deal with the real injury of their soul- deep internal pain.
