5 Things to do to Get Involved in a Faith Community
In this season — and every season — it is important to connect to and be a part of a Christ-centered community. At Youth for Christ, this is something we prioritize and encourage for the students who we serve. If you’re lacking community and feeling isolated, check out the following ways to get involved in a faith community in your area:
1. Local Church:
Currently most churches are meeting online via Facebook Live. Ask your youth leader or friends what church they attend and check it out. We all need a faith family.
2. Youth Group:
Most churches have a youth ministry focusing solely on you, teens. There are many amazing youth ministries around where you can find friendship, teaching, and encouragement.
3. YFC Campus Life & City Life:
These people exist for you! They want to connect and help you find a life-giving community.
4. Online devotional plans & bible studies:
Check out the YouVersion Bible App, it has all kinds of reading plans and studies for your personal growth and there are several others like it. Choose one and invite others to join you.
5. Remedy Live:
Remedy is an organization built around conversations. SoulMedics are people who are trained and passionate about talking and listening to teens who want someone to talk to.
Remember with all of these resources at your fingertips, you are never alone.
