Working At Home With Kids

GREAT SUGGESTIONS FROM THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE WIRED X WEBINAR!

  • Create an "Approved daytime snacks" list. When my kids say they are hungry throughout the day, they can at anytime reference these healthy snacks posted in the fridge.

  • Work hours here and throughout the day/night until done and entertain kids in between.

  • Taking my lunch to connect with my kids, have lunch with them, and see what needs done for school work.

  • Create an "I'm bored list". When the kids tell me there is nothing to do I direct them to the "I'm bored board"

  • Intentionally breaking for 10 minute meditation

  • Keeping my daughter with special needs busy with games, art and some daily chores

  • Structure, outdoor time, try not to feel guilt on extra screen time when needed.

  • Setting expectations with the kids for the work day.

  • Having a designated workspace

  • Scheduled start times, break times, lunch together

  • Preparing snack the day before

  • My kid has to knock before coming into the office
