Working At Home With Kids
GREAT SUGGESTIONS FROM THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE WIRED X WEBINAR!
Create an "Approved daytime snacks" list. When my kids say they are hungry throughout the day, they can at anytime reference these healthy snacks posted in the fridge.
Work hours here and throughout the day/night until done and entertain kids in between.
Taking my lunch to connect with my kids, have lunch with them, and see what needs done for school work.
Create an "I'm bored list". When the kids tell me there is nothing to do I direct them to the "I'm bored board"
Intentionally breaking for 10 minute meditation
Keeping my daughter with special needs busy with games, art and some daily chores
Structure, outdoor time, try not to feel guilt on extra screen time when needed.
Setting expectations with the kids for the work day.
Having a designated workspace
Scheduled start times, break times, lunch together
Preparing snack the day before
My kid has to knock before coming into the office
